It is no surprise that different stores offer different shopping times, and Sam’s Club is no different. Walmart owns membership-only stores, and, like many retail stores, they offer different shopping times throughout the year to accommodate regular days and holidays. But in addition to the general regular working hours, being that they are a membership type of club, there are also different options. 

Sam’s Club does offer early shopping to its customers based on the level of membership the customer holds. With the Plus Membership, customers enjoy early shopping by as much as three hours before regular members are allowed in. The specific hour will depend on the store’s location. 

It’s exciting to know that on top of the many quality products that Sam’s Club offers, they are also sensitive to the fact that many people enjoy getting their shopping done at earlier hours of the day and are flexible to accommodate that. The types of memberships Sam’s Club offers.

The member-only club offers two levels of membership. Pretty basic; they don’t need to overcomplicate the offering. Starting on October 17th, 2022, the cost of those two types are the following: for regular Club Memberships, the annual cost is $50, and the Plus Membership has an annual cost of $110. The early shopping is only reserved for Sam’s Club Plus Membership customers.

The price differential may seem high, but when you see the benefits side by side, there are over five additional perks with the Plus Membership that are worth the investment. In addition to early shopping, there are perks such as free curbside pickup and free delivery on most items. And I don’t know about you, but for me, having just those three benefits alone is more than paying for the membership.

Sam’s Club regular, special holidays, and early shopping hours.

It is important to remind you to check with your local store since the official hours, and early shopping does change a bit by location. But in the store near me, regular hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

And early shopping is extended to Plus Membership Customers as early as 8:00 am on those same days. On Saturdays, the regular hours are 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, but for early hours, you can get in at 8:00 am. And finally, on Sunday, regular hours are from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and this is the only day of the week when early shopping is not offered. 

There are important holidays where no early shopping is offered because the store is closed for every level member, and those days are: New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. But on the Fourth of July and Labor Day, Sam’s Club offers regular member shopping from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm but offers early shopping to Plus Membership Customers beginning at 8:00 am.
